The Next Frontier of Olympic Cheating: Gene Doping →
Last week a story came off the AP wire about Olympic cheating and the intriging lack of consensus as to whether gene doping should be considered cheating.
We must bear up against them, and make the best of mankind as they are, since we...

a Christmas party
Last week the Christmas party for the college faculty and staff was amazing.
We met at the home of a family that opens their home every night for a month for tours. You can call ahead, make a resevation, and then tour their home while hearing the entire Christmas story explained, illustrated through incredible decorations with exquisite detail.
They do this every Christmas. And every year...

what is your weight-gain plan?
I get frustrated when I gain weight over Thanksgiving and Christmas so this year instead of fearing weight-gain I am planning for it!
I’m already below my pre-Thanksgiving weight and plan to be back at my pre-Christmas weight by January 15. Bring on the banana bread!
What is your plan for gaining weight this Christmas?

university campus for sale
There is currently a ton of buzz about the demise of the modern university. (High schools are next, by the way). I’m a courseware developer for an online education company and it’s fascinating to watch universities shudder and cope with the changing educational landscape.

the heart of the orphan
I have the privilege of serving on the board of a non-profit organization that resources people worldwide involved in adoption, group homes and orphanages. We sent a team this summer to Asia to work with an orphanage there. They ministered to both children and the adults who work with them and it has been such a blessing to hear reports of how well the trip went!
The vision of our ministry is...

a few thoughts from "Focal Point" by Brian Tracy
If your lifestyle was healthy/fit in every respect, what would you be doing and how would you be doing it?
Is there anything I am doing that, knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t get into if I were starting over today?
Ask family members what they’d like you to do more of, less of, and what they’d like you to start doing and stop doing.
