on leap day and the machine
A buddy of mine thinks that leap day is a conspiracy by THE MACHINE to get us to work another day without pay. I tried to explain the rotation of the earth but what he wants is a new calendar that adds an extra Saturday or Sunday toward the end of January or February and then shifts every other day forward. I am in favor of this idea. Unfortunately, THE MACHINE is not.
