Yesterday I watched “Alien” in anticipation of seeing “Prometheus” which takes place in the same universe.

One of the things that impressed me the most was how the movie holds up after 30+ years. Most of the time the dialogue and sets worked for me. At other times, I just simply couldn’t believe I was watching a movie filmed in the 70’s.

MercuryApp is a great web app for leaders who want to track their own productivity, engagement, or physical/emotional health.

It’s also a great way to create a microjournal for a business trip, vacation, or a major decision.

It’s not surprising that the first iOS app they’ve created is called “Should I Break Up With My Boyfriend.” Check it out on Apple’s App Store.

The former Read it Later service was largely the same, but Pocket introduces a fresh new look and completely overhauled UI. The app now defaults to a cleaner, more eye-pleasing grid view of saved content with big, colorful icons, though the traditional list view option also remains, if preferred. Saved content can be tagged or favorited for easier discovery, and read articles can be archived with just a tap. That data is tracked onto the routes of cars in the classic [Frogger] game, so that they mimic what’s happening on the road in real time. “It’s really fun, actually,” DeAngelo says. “I mean, if you play at 3:00 am, it’s pretty easy to win, and if you play at 4:30 on Friday it’s almost impossible, which kind of adds to the charm.””
